Why We Serve
The driving force behind CRM is to bring the Gospel
of Christ to all; not just through evangelism, but by fulfilling the law
of Christ: feeding and clothing the hungry and naked, defending the poor
and fatherless, being eyes to the blind and feet to the lame.
This is accomplished through a methodology of first
providing basic relief, then education, thus empowering them to create a
future at home, provide for their families and contribute to their
communities.
How We Serve
In a general sense, we accomplish our objectives and reach our targeted
population by operating within the communities we serve; the
Teupasenti
Valley, El Paraiso, Honduras. We utilize local people
that manage, maintain and implement our facilities and programs. This
includes a Program Director, a team of Pastors, teachers and support
staff.
Missionary teams from the
USA
travel to Teupasenti to proclaim the Gospel in the local public schools
and in the villages, distribute Bibles, and provide relief aid & school
supplies, and drug prevention materials. The missionaries also gather
information about how to better help these communities that are in
tremendous need due to lack of rain, unemployment, lack of adequate
health care & education, and many other factors that impact the
deteriorating livelihoods and health of the villagers.
Missionary teams also engage in the construction of
new projects, help finish a project that another team started, or
improve an existing project. These projects may include building a
pavilion or church, or fix the roof or the house of a senior citizen
with in the CRM community.
