Public schools are limited and crowded and lack many basic tools and supplies such as paper and text books. Some children do not attend school because shoes and uniforms are required, and many cannot afford the cost to purchase them. Others do not attend because they need to work in the family
garden to help provide for the daily meal.
CRM partners with the public schools by providing text books, paper, pencils and other school supplies to supplement the public school budget.
CRM also has an Education Center which teaches arts & crafts, reading & writing, computer and vocational training, music and drug education, as well as sewing classes for the single mothers. The CRM Education Center is being expanded from 5 to 15 classrooms. A commercial-style kitchen is being built to not only produce food, but to support a vocational training program in the hospitality industry.
