Golf Outing Benefits CRM
On July 20, 2009 The Children's Rescue Mission Inc. held its 6th annual golf tournament fund raiser. This year the tournament was held at Suburban Golf Club in Union New Jersey again. After being rained out a month earlier we managed to pull off a great day with 20 Foursomes in a scramble format. There were lots of prizes for the skilled players and plenty of great giveaways for the fortunate ones. The top raffle prize was a 42" plasma TV, but we managed to give away lots of golf gear, a Swiss Army watch, Electronics, and some Yankee tickets. For more information on participating or volunteering in the 2010 tournament, contact Dierk Eckart at dierk.eckart@crmission.org
Sunday Brunch, Raffle and Silent Auction
A Sunday brunch, raffle and Silent Auction was held at the Bear & Grill Restaurant in Fairfield, Connecticut on April 26, 2009. The event was a fund raiser for the Community Kitchen Project; 750 Sq Ft. commissary kitchen, bakery and vocational level culinary school being developed in Teupasenti, Honduras.
Nearly 100 people attended, we sold 220 raffle tickets, collected substantial donations and every single silent auction item sold. It was a beautiful day, the food was delicious and a good time was had by all.
The kitchen, bakery and culinary school will make a huge difference for CRM and in the lives of those of the Teupasenti Valley for years and years to come.
